This is a 1890 map of the west side of Cheltenham and Beecroft with the current Google map underneath.
As you move the slider to the left the opacity of the 1910 map reduces and the current Google map of the area is shown.
Some interesting things to note on this map is:
- The alignment of Pennant Hills rd, Castle Hill Rd and New Line Rd all very similar
- Today’s Golf Course was from a isngle 100 acre block
- Unchanged alignment of Murray Farm Rd.
- The difference betwen what Castle Howard Rd was supposed to be and what it is today.
