Lapidary

Northern Districts Lapidary Club

This club was formed in 1966 and met in a number of premises, including at Carlingford Court. When advised that those premises would no longer be available negotiations were entered into with the School of Arts Committee to use the old supper room spaces of the Beecroft School of Arts. The new premises were occupied from October 1971.

Apart from the use of the workshop (including a kiln for enamelling) the Club organises trips (especially to the national Gemboree), conducts training and lectures and exhibitions.
